About Us

MoroccanPlace was founded by Hassan Ahouiek, a London born "Morocco enthusiast" of Moroccan origin. From a very young age Hassan has been returning to Morocco every year, usually in the summer to take a break from the busy London lifestyle. The Moroccan way of life is friendly, relaxed, and often traditional, and this shows in the Moroccan style of design, from that of home furnishings and clothing to food and art.

During his many visits to Morocco, he has made strong links with some of Morocco's finest artisans and quality Moroccan furniture makers. Having a great passion for the Moroccan style of home decor and 'accents', Hassan decided to share his knowledge and expertise.

This has resulted in MoroccanPlace, a collection of hand picked home furniture and select clothing items sourced from the very best Moroccan crafstmen. Quality and exemplary customer service play a key part in what we offer, as does ensuring the purchaser gets the most competitive prices anywhere. We understand that some of us have specific requirements when it comes to choosing the right furniture for the home. Whether it's an entire room that is to be given a complete 'Moroccan' theme, or just choosing a couple of choice 'accents' to be placed among a more modern or other layout.
